How do I annotate a review?

This support article is intended to guide you through annotating a document in GoReview.

In order to annotate a review, a designer must upload the document to GoReview. You will receive an email alerting you when this has happened.

To make an annotation, follow the steps below.

1. login to GoReview.

2. After logging in you will be presented with the home screen.

3. Select the Publication and issue, this will then list all the documents that are available to review.

4. Select the document from the list and then click on the spyglass icon, this will take you through to the review editor.

5. The review editor opens to show the document.

6. Using the commenting tools, you are able to make comments against the document.

The following types of comments can be made:

Push Pin Comment

This is used to comment on a precise area of a review.

1. Select the Push Pin icon from the Menu bar.

goreview-bar-pin2. Click on the precise point on the review document you would like to place the Pin.

3. A comment box will be displayed. Click into the box, a timestamp will be placed. Enter a comment then click X to close the comment box.

goreview-pin4. A Pin icon, with it’s corresponding number, will be displayed on the review document at the point you selected.

Tick Comment

Used as a quick visual reference to indicate that a specific item is correct i.e. Price, item number or URL.

1. Select the Tick icon from the Menu bar.

3. A Tick icon will be displayed on the review document at the point you selected.

Box Comment

This is used to free draw a box comment on the review document.

1. Select the Box icon from the Menu bar.

goreview-bar-box2. Click and hold the mouse button, drag the crosshair over the area of the review you want to draw a Box round. Release the mouse button to place the Box.

3. A comment box will be displayed. Click into the box, a timestamp will be placed. Enter a comment then click X to close the comment box.

General Document Comments (Narrative)

General comments can be applied to the review. These are useful for outlining changes / features that affect the whole document e.g. a change of Font.
1. From the toolbar select the Narrative tool.

goreview-bar-comments2. This will open a window whereby you can post comments. As a reviewer you will see any notes a designer has left when they sent the document for review.

3. Type your comment into the window and then click Post. The users name and the time will be applied to the comment. After making comments click on the ‘X’ to dismiss the window.

After you have finished making all of your comments for this review round, you will need to complete the review. Depending on your role within the review, you will have different options available to you.
