Teams collaborate on creative work better with Oppolis software

Oppolis have developed an ecosystem of creative apps and workflows that inspire marketing teams to produce amazing media content faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Since 2003, our progressive software innovations for Adobe Creative Cloud products have optimised print workflows, energised creative team collaboration and made the steps into digital content and app production easy.

Why Oppolis is here, doing what we do

Back in the late 1990s when founders Jon Simcox, Tom Flynn and Mike James were feeling the design workflow frustrations of some of the UK’s best publishers, they decided enough was enough.

The standard industry software for creating content, editing copy and generally working as a team were still in their infancy and causing headaches.

It was a time when Adobe was starting to ramp up its dominance, taking on Quark and Corel for market share with its new range of apps driven by their Photoshop flagship.

Jon, Tom and Mike recognised how important the new Adobe InDesign layout app was going to be to the publishing sector when it started to launch in Beta in 1997.
They set to work to build plugins and extensions that would integrate it into existing customer workflows and take team productivity to a whole new level.

Oppolis, pronounced Opp-o-liss with emphasis on the first syllable Opp, was officially incorporated as a UK public limited company called Oppolis Software Limited in 2003.

One of the first customers to use Oppolis technology in the early noughties was The Guardian newspaper. They still use it today.

And as Adobe migrated its Creative Suite products to the cloud over the last decade, the Adobe and Oppolis partnership flourished and the Oppolis product range that complements Adobe Creative Cloud took shape.

Now it has grown into one of the leading workflow and collaboration ecosystems for creative and marketing teams, used by brands, agencies and all types of organisations around the globe.
